Leadership supporters joined BlueCheck on March 28th for a special evening of Broadway theater followed by an intimate gathering with Liev Schreiber and his fellow cast members in “Doubt: A Parable.” Also on hand was Jared Malone, CEO of Project Victory, a BlueCheck partner, whose report from the field underscored the current desperate need for humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine.

Liev Schreiber, an actor and director who became a humanitarian activist after Russia's full-scale war on Ukraine, advocates for the estimated 20,000 Ukrainian children deported or displaced by Russia. He co-founded BlueCheck Ukraine, which funds organizations delivering aid to children in Ukraine.

BlueCheck partnered with Builders Ukraine and others to establish The Courage Project, an effort to raise awareness for the 20,000 Ukrainian Children abducted by Russia in violation of international law.

Liev Schreiber delivered opening remarks at a session of the United Nations Security Council alongside three Ukrainian children–Ilya, Kira, and Sasha–who testified about their experience of being abducted by Russian forces. Schreiber said the children are three of the bravest people he has ever met.

On the second anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Liev Schreiber was invited by Time magazine to contribute an essay to their Time 100 Voices project.
