The Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine is a voluntary all-Ukrainian public association registered in February 1992 and is a member of the World Federation of Unions of Anesthesiologists and European Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. The organization’s mission is to unite, on a voluntary basis, specialists engaged in research, teaching and practice in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care throughout Ukraine. AAU is partnered with Lifebox, a charity formed by the Association of Anesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, the World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists, and the Harvard School of Public Health. Lifebox was formed to facilitate access to high quality, low cost pulse oximeters suitable for use in the operating theatre, along with training and support.
